25 September 2003 ASU RTO by EnTechEco to reduce maintenance
management expenditures at KievEnergo heat-electricity-generating plant
#5.
EnTechEco Ltd. starts the second stage of implementing
the automated control system for maintenance management (ASU RTO) at
KievEnergo heat-electricity-generating plant #5. According to the
agreement signed the specialists from EnTechEco and the plant #5 are
to launch several additional modules of the system.
The interest of KievEnergo plant #5 in ASU RTO is
motivated. KievEnergo plant #5 is the most powerful enterprise of
heat-power industry of the Ukrainian capital. But the feature of the
heat-electric energy generation is the substantial contribution of the
equipment maintenance expenditures to the production costs.
To minimize expenses on the maintenance management the
western enterprises widely use the automated systems of CSSM and EAM
classes (the automation of capital assets and maintenance
management). These
systems are distinguished by high efficiency and low percent of
unsuccessful implementations. EnTechEco's complex ASU RTO is the
Ukrainian product uniting the functional abilities of the given class
systems and the detailed allowance for the specifics and the production
management standards character for the CIS enterprises.
The implementation of ASU RTO at KievEnergo plant #5
started in fall 2002. At present totally automated are the keeping of
the list of equipment of the plant and the database of the standard
technical information, the control of events (registration and control
of the removal of equipment defects and refusals), the ordering of
refitting.
The evaluations of the plant #5 specialists witness
that the economic effect due to the implementation of the first stage
of ASU RTO can form about 10% from the total expenses spend on
refitting and technical support. The economy is reached thanks to the
existence of total and actual picture of the current state of equipment,
the timely assess of the necessity and processing of refitting, and
also due to the delivered possibilities for analyzing the needs in
capital resources and refitting costs.
The second stage involves the automation of the
refitting planning (annual, monthly), the accounting of the needs of
materials and spare parts according to the refitting plan, the keeping
of databases on the external documentation (including the graphic
ones - technological, designer etc. ).
The implementation of these functions will accomplish the basic cycle of conducting the procedures of maintenance management at the plant #5 and allow to optimize the refitting planning and the use of capital and human resources, to operatively control and correct expenditures of finances.
